What do you love about NKY? It is near a bigger city, yet far enough away to not have the big-city congestion. I also LOVE being so close to the airport.
What is one goal you’ve set for 2021? Continue to adapt, pivot, and take care of my patients (and their families)
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? Fluently speak a foreign language.
Do you have a cause or charity that is close to your heart? Shriner’s Hospital for Children. During residency, I took care of many children (severe burns) who had to be “air-flighted” to Shriner’s in Cincinnati. Since moving here, I have referred children with craniofacial issues to Shriner’s. The care and compassion that these kids and their families receive is unbelievable, and they don’t have to worry about medical bills. They can focus on helping their child heal.
If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would that be? Minor in something not related to your major. For me, that would have been a business-related field.
Women tend to be multi-takers. Do you have a system that you love that might be good for others? I’m a list maker. I use both my phone and sticky notes to stay on track.
What is the best book you’ve ever read? “How’s the Culture in your Kingdom,” by Dan Cockerell
Your house is on fire, all living things and people are out. You have the opportunity to run in and grab one item. What would it be? Nothing. Things are just that….things, and can be replaced.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received? “Always listen to what the mom says”
